Travel Bags and Suitcases for Kids

If you have children, your luggage for vacations will be a lot more.  If your kids are very young, it may be best to just have a large suitcase and include everyone's clothes in that.  If your children are old enough to be in school though, they may be able to pack and carry luggage of their own.  For more information about Samsonite Cosmolite, follow the link. This teaches them responsibility, and depending on how you treat the situation can make it more fun for them.  In this article I want to talk all about children's luggage-what to buy, how to use it, etc.

First let's talk a little about what to look for when buying childrens luggage.  You can probably think of a few luggage brand names, but you may not know that there are also several brands that specialize in making luggage for children.  There are plenty of childrens suitcases with bright colors and designs geared toward younger travelers.  Let's face it, sometimes children are not too careful with things so you should try to get them a suitcase that is fairly sturdy and can handle getting beat up a little.  You will probably also want to get a simple suitcase for your kids.  However, smaller children may find it useful to have wheels on the suitcase.

Children have a lot of kinds of luggage to choose from.  Most travelers just use basic suitcases, but there are lots of other options too.  Some kids like using duffel bags instead because they find them easier to carry and they usually have just as much space.  Some children just stick with backpacks for vacations, because school has taught them to organize their backpack contents and keep track of everything.

No matter what you pick, just make sure it is a good size.  It needs to be big enough to store everything, but small enough that your child can carry it easily.  Take a look at the Trunki Suitcases. This is why I recommend taking your kid to the store and looking at your options in person.  Let your kid choose something he likes and can carry around.

I prefer buying luggage in person, but shopping online is a viable option too.  If you shop online you will be able to choose from many more options and designs.  Check out the childrens luggage. It is easy to show your children some of the different colors and designs available.  But always check to see what size the luggage is and if your kid will be able to carry it.  And most online stores have reviews of products, so make sure to read some reviews of any of the choices you are interested in.

  1. Thanks for sharing this because I have been searching online for the right luggage for my two little cousins for our trip to Florida. You can't have anything too big for them because I don't think they'll be carrying around too much. I think they are old enough to have their own luggage so they can easily sort all of their stuff out.
